Fitness Tip #1

I've officially been on this fitness kick for 4 whole weeks, so I am narcissistic enough to believe that I have some wisdom to impart to help others on their journey.  My first tip is to work out with people that are in better shape than you.  Luckily for me, that's everyone right now- my husband, my son, my dog...  I also have a Nursing school comrade who lives near me who wanted to start walk/jogging with me.  What she didn't tell me was that she was the speed-walking champion of the greater Detroit metro area before she moved here.  I mean I'm guessing that's the case, because she had my fat ass huffing and puffing today.  And she was jogging up and down hills able to carry on a conversation, while I'm gasping for breath and repeating "oh, Jesus!" on every hill.  But in the end, we ended up doing 3 miles in 50 minutes, which is 10 minutes faster than I normally go in my 'hood.  I also jogged a hell of a lot more than I normally do, and I felt amazing at the end.  So, Shalawn, since I know you read this, thank you for an amazing workout today, and I look forward to you kicking my ass again on Monday.

Also, I've finished up the first month of ChaLean, so tomorrow I'll be posting measurements and possibly sexy pics if I feel like putting on makeup.
